Corinna Underwood is an international freelance writer based in Georgia, USA. Her articles on health, genetic modification, environmental wellness and organic gardening can be seen in publications including Alternative Medicine, Alive, Beauty and Style, Herb Companion and Ultimate Athlete.
For several years Corinna has been expanding her background in philosophy and sociology in an exploration of embodiment and it's boundaries. The eventual outcome of this research will be a text which explores traditional models of embodiment such as dualistic medical models and binarized models of sexuality and critically contrast these with a refiguration of of embodiment which transgress these boundaries. Anorexic bodies, virtual bodies the multi-sexuality of contemporary bodies are among those explored.

Corinna enjoys writing poetry and short stories and has been published both in the UK and USA in print and online literary magazines including Lexicon, Birmingham Literary Review, Magpie's Nest, Millennium Shift, Virginia Adversaria, and in the 2000 anthology "In Our Own Words/A Generation Defining Itself."
Corinna has just conpleted the first in a trilogy of children's fanstasy novels entiteld The Book of Becoming.
Corinna has many other interests. She is an avid organic gardener and has recently started her own landscaping and garden repair service.
She is a member of the Critical Health Psychology Network. She has an interest in herbal medicine and for some years has been growing and making her own herbal applications. As a regular volunteer for the Humane Society , she helps to care for and re-home abandoned dogs and cats. Most recently she joined the Red Cross National Disaster Action Team.
